Many persons are feared dead as unknown gunmen attacked a village in Yobe State.
The attack on Dogon Kuka village in Yobe State, took place on Saturday, with many feared killed and injured.
Two persons were confirmed dead on the spot as the invaders shot indiscriminately as they arrived the village.
The Commissioner, Yobe State Police Command, Patrick Egbuniwe, confirmed the development.
Egbuniwe told AFP: “A group of unknown gunmen stormed Dogon Kuka village and opened fire on residents.
“From all indications, they were on a shooting spree.
“From reports reaching us, some people might have been killed.”
He, however, did not specify the number of persons killed.
Egbuniwe said: “I don’t have details yet but we have deployed security personnel to the village to ascertain the nature and extent of the attack.”
