No fewer than 10 persons have been killed by gunmen in two remote villages in Zamfara State.
The attacks, carried out on Sunday, affected Makera and Usu.
The spokesman of the Zamfara State Police Command, Hassan Usman Talba, confirmed the attack.
Talba said: “There was an attack in these villages in Zamfara and people were killed.
“I think the number is around 10.”
Talba said investigation was ongoing.
He said the prime suspects were gangs of Fulani herdsman.
