Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, has allegedly been charged with drink driving after being pulled over by the police on Monday.
According to The Express, the 33-year-old – a self-proclaimed teetotaller on religious grounds – was driving through Dagenham at 11pm when cops pulled him over and performed a breathalyser test.
Toure is then said to have been taken into custody, where he was tested again, before being released on bail.
The newspaper claims that the Ivorian will now appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on December 13 on the charge of operating a vehicle while above the legal alcohol limit.
Toure has only just been restored to the City first team following a long-running dispute between his agent and manager Pep Guardiola.
