Two persons have been reported dead following the collapse of a building in Lekki area of Lagos State.
According to available information, the building collapsed at about 11.40am.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said in a statement that the building, at Nicon Town Estate, Admiralty Way, collapsed partially.
Investigation conducted by LASEMA’s Emergency Response Team at scene of the incident revealed that the structure under the process of casting of the roof beam and parapet facial collapsed as mixed concrete and the poker vibrator were seen at the site suddenly collapsed on some of the workers on site.
LASEMA identified the dead simply as Tasiu and Abdulahi, while another worker at the scene, Yakub, sustained some injuries and had been taken to the hospital.
The LASEMA Emergency Response Team immediately cordoned off the building for further investigation to be carried out by the appropriate authorities.
