Serbia’s Novak Djokovic remained number one in the latest world rankings released by the Association of Tennis Professionals on Monday, while Spain’s David Ferrer moved to seventh.
Djokovic continues to top the pile on 15,645 points, ahead of Roger Federer on 9,420 and Andy Murray on 8,640.
Ferrer, with his victory in Malaysia on Sunday by defeating Feliciano Lopez to claim his 25th career title, moved up the rankings.
As a result, he skipped compatriot Rafael Nadal to claim seventh, while Lopez also gained two spots to go 15th.
In the same vein, Serena Williams continued to dominate the latest world rankings in the Women Tennis Association.
However, Garbine Muguruza hit fifth after a strong performance in Wuhan, China last week.
Williams leads on 11,285 points, with Romania’s Simona Halep on 6,670 and Russia’s Maria Sharapova trailing on 4,692.
Muguruza withdrew injured from the Wuhan final against Venus Williams, but still moved up three places to fifth.
