Suarau, while sounding a note of warning to operators of illegal and unlicensed abattoirs and slaughter slabs operating in the State, also said the State Government has ordered an immediate stop to all slaughtering activities in Idiaraba, Ashimowu, both in Lawanson in Mushin Local Government Area, and Ilupeju-Oshodi illegal sheep/goats slaughter slabs
The commissioner, who was represented by Oladeji Alao, the General Manager of Lagos State Coconut Development Authority, said the state government had invested much in agriculture to empower youths
“The danger with unrecognized abattoirs is that the animals slaughtered there are not inspected by veterinary professionals to detect the one that has diseased or pregnant ones because it is illegal to slaughter pregnant animal,” he revealed
