According to Aregbesola, the inquest became necessary because of the suddenness and the circumstances surrounding the death of the Senator and the first civilian governor of the state
The State NLC Chairman, Jacob Adekomi, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Osogbo that the body took the decision to honour Adeleke, who was the state’s first civilian governor
Adeleke was also the first civilian governor of Osun State between January 1992 and November 1993 on the platform of defunct Social Democratic Party
In a press statement issued by the group to mark the fidau prayer session of the late Senator holding on Monday (today) and jointly signed by the Conveners – Prince Hameed Oyegbade and Rasheed Bolarinwa – Osogbo Affairs commiserated with the Osun State government and the people of Ede on the tragic incident
Aregbesola made this promise in a statement by Semiu Okanlawon, his media aide
Lasun said his biggest fear arises from the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke, who was one of the few politicians with visible interest in the race before his death
Babalola said it was unfortunate that the unruly behavior of the miscreants robbed a prominent son of Ede the state burial that he deserved and which the state government planned for him
Dogara, while expressing sadness over the sudden demise of the late senator, said he will be remembered for his legacies, especially his dedication to the betterment of the common man
The Senate also scheduled valedictory session for the departed Senator for Wednesday

Adeleke, the first civilian Governor of Osun State and a serving Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, passed on in Osogbo on Sunday morning at the age of 62
Adeleke has since been buried according to Islamic rites on Monday

The corpse was brought to the residence from Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo at about 10:46am, where the Chief Immam of Ede, Alhaji Moshood Akaje, performed the funeral prayers at about 11:03am
