Speaking at the launch of the energy conglomerate’s ‘#MADwithFOOTBALL’ initiative, Obioma said the campaign aims to foster a culture of oneness, equity, and camaraderie. “For us at Sahara, the word MAD represents making a difference. Speaking at the 17th edition over the weekend, Kola Motajo, Director, Sahara Group, said the privilege of running in the marathon that is dedicated to making a difference is treasured by the Sahara Family. “This is an event we look forward to in Sahara each year. We have Saharians who participate in different categories of the Generali Genève Marathon, while others turn up to cheer and make the moment special for Sahara and the world. Every step our runners take reinforces Sahara Group’s dedication to bringing energy to life responsibly through our energy solutions and social impact,” he said.

Speaking at the unveiling of Sahara Group’s 2021 Sustainability Report titled “Maximising the Present Efficiently; Safeguarding the Future Responsibly”, Executive Director, Temitope Shonubi, said Sahara had responded positively to its global sustainability targets through continuous review of the company’s operations and impact.

Commissioned last May in Ulsan, South Korea, the 23,000 cubic meter capacity vessel which cost CFA 26 billion was received by Excellence Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, Minister of Energy, Vamissa Bamba, Director General, Petroci, Temitope Shonubi, Executive Director, Sahara Group, Wale Ajibade, Executive Director, Sahara Group, Soro Tiotioho, Director General, Societe, Ivoirienne de Raffinage (SIR), Kam SIE, Chairman Sapet Energy, Olayemi Odutola, Managing Director, Sapet Energy, and Mayor of the Municipality of Port-Bouët, Dr. Sylvestre Emmou, among others.
