The judge, Justice Okon Abang, granted Badeh permission following an application by his counsel, Akin Olujimi (SAN).

The judge gave the order after listening to a recorded programme aired on Channels Television involving the ongoing trial of Olisa Metuh.
Metuh was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in January 2015 on a two-count charge bordering on alleged destruction of evidence.

Sylvanus Tahir, counsel to the EFCC, who made the application at the resumption of hearing of the matter on Tuesday at the Federal High Court, Abuja, said Metuh should be remanded in prison.
