The Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, stated this during a presentation to the Commission by a delegation from SpaceX, an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportations services company, in Abuja on Thursday.

Prof. Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, made this known at signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian Communications Satellite on clearing of C-band for deployment of 5G services on Wednesday in Abuja.
Danbatta, who also submitted two letters of condolence, one on behalf of the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Ali Isa Ibrahim Pantami, and the other on behalf of the Management and Board of the Commission, stressed that the delegation was in Kano at the behest of the Minister.
According to LEADS Africa, Babajika was considered worthy of the award “for his outstanding contribution to Africa’s development and meritorious service to God, humanity and our dear country Nigeria, especially through various national and international assignments in the private/public service and community development.”
The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, and the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, made the call at the two-day 18th Annual General Meeting of the West Africa Telecommunications Regulators Assembly, which commenced in Abuja on Wednesday.
Danbatta will speak on the theme: “Telecoms, Digital Banking and Nigeria’s Economic Development,” at the annual Lecture scheduled to hold by 10am on March 11, 2021 at The Civic Centre, Ozumba Mbadiwe Avenue, Victoria Island, Lagos.
While Pantami will deliver the opening address at the AGM scheduled to take place from March 10 to 11, 2021 in Abuja, Danbatta will give the keynote at the conference.
A platform organized by the Centre for Financial Journalism (CFJ Nigeria), the Bullion Lecture is designed to facilitate vibrant discourse around issues of national and international importance.
The Commission revealed this in a statement by its Director of Public Affairs, Dr. Ikechukwu Adinde, on Thursday, adding: “We have since contacted Facebook Team to take down the fake account.”
In marking the Africa Safer Internet Day 2021, with the theme: “Positioning and Partnering for Child Online Protection,” NCC’s representatives visited secondary schools in Abuja and Lagos to sensitise and educate students on how they can use the internet productively, avoid being victims of all forms of cybercrime, and deal with cases of cyberbullying.
