Chief Magistrate Adesoji Adegboye gave the order on Wednesday sequel to a Motion ex-parte number MAD/10cm/2016, filed by the Ekiti State Government against Aluko and the state Commissioner of Police pursuant to Section 117 of the Criminal Code Law, Cap C16, law of Ekiti State 2012, Section 79 of the Ekiti State Administration of Criminal Justice Law 2014 and Section 23 (D) of the Magistrates’ Courts Law 2014

In a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose‎ said the election that ushered him into office was conducted about 20 months ago and applauded by the election observers and the international community, wondering when the opposition would stop licking their wounds

He said: “They keep telling us that they have defeated Boko Haram technically while Nigerians are still being killed daily by Boko Haram, with over 100 people killed in Dalori, less than 12km to Maiduguri, Borno State capital. Isn’t it now necessary for the President to fulfill his promise of leading from the front and getting his Information Minister, Lai Mohammed to go and hold a press briefing in Sambasa forest unguarded by military men so as to show to Nigerians that indeed, they have defeated Boko Haram technically?

Governor Fayose, who commended the Federal Government for saying that the case was not dead, said it was not enough to tell Nigerians that a case like the Halliburton and Siemens, in which many people have been jailed in other countries, especially the United States, and investigations concluded in Nigeria with those alleged to be involved questioned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, was not dead

Governor Fayose, during the visit, had said he is in Osun State not for any political reason and that he is not ready to abandon the PDP for the All Progressives Congress, but for his belief in the Yoruba race and her development and unity

There is no gainsaying the fact that there has been no love lost between Governor Ayodele Fayose and President Buhari. The governor has never been known to wish the president well. Is this not the same governor who placed a full page death-wish advertisement in the newspaper before the presidential elections? This same governor has become known for his blind and unobjective criticism of Buhari’s policies since the inception of this administration. So who is he trying to scare?

The governor, who reiterated his support for the fight against corruption, said: “The $2.1 billion arms deal is a scam because all that they are just doing is to brandish figures to deceive Nigerians and demonize the Peoples Democratic Party and those opposed to his dictatorship in the All Progressives Congress. Till today, the amount they have charged people for stealing is not up to N10 billion and $2.1 billion they claimed was stolen is about N600 billion
