No fewer than six persons were roasted to death when a tanker exploded at Bokani Road in Mokwa Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Acting Director General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, Alhaji Isah Usman, disclosed this on Wednesday in Minna.
Usman said the tanker exploded at 11:30am when a bus, which overtook the vehicle, tried avoid a head on collusion but hit the tanker.
Usman said the fuel-laden vehicle lost control and caught fire instantly.
According to him: “Six persons out of the eight people in the bus were burnt beyond recognition while five motorcycles, nearby houses, a Mosque and two buses were razed.”
Usman said that the two persons who survived the accident are receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre, Bida.
