She advised women and key players to sheath their swords and embrace peace and stop the killing of innocent women and children.
According to her, the Wase crisis, which has lasted for over 17 years, needed to be stopped.
She said: “We are more vulnerable to this dastardly act.
“The devastating effect of the conflict have left many of our women widows and displaced many citizens who are living in abject poverty and unnecessary hatred among Christians and Muslims.”
Adamu said people have lost their beloved ones and socio-economic activities have been paralyzed owning to some selfish individuals whose stock in trade is to cause crises and confusion since the rift over the councilorship seat in Lamba Wadkat spread across the districts.
Adamu noted that the protesting women are expected to dress in white attires, which signifies the return of peace that can restore love and understanding among the people.
She said: “We organized violence-free protest in Wase ,Kadarko, Lamba and Bashar districts to let the world know that we are tired of being killed by our own people over communal land dispute.”
Adamu pointed out that the situation has defied long term solution so all tribes and religions are concerned at the alarming rate of destruction and deepening divide among the diverse groups in the local government area.
