Armed robbers on Thursday struck in Owo, Ondo State, bombing no fewer than five banks.
The robbers began their operation at about 5pm, reports reaching The Eagle Online said.
They were said to have positioned themselves at strategic areas of the town, thus making it impossible for the police to confront them.
One of the banks confirmed to have been attacked as at press time was Skye Bank.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Wole Ogodo, confirmed the development.
Ogodo, however, said available information were still sketchy.
