The police on Wednesday informed members of the public that it will in conjunction with other security agencies carry out a mock security exercise at the Garki Mall, Abuja on Thursday.
According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, the exercise will last from 8am to 6pm.
This exercise is a mock drill, necessitated due to the prevailing security situation in the country.
Ojukwu said Abuja residents/visitors will witness massive movement of law enforcement assets and personnel to and from different locations of the Capital City and the site of the exercise.
The statement added: “The public is enjoined not to entertain any fear as the exercise is purely a mock practice, and no harm is intended please.”
