The Plateau State House of Assembly is currently in a state of confusion as the lawmakers are said to be facing charges for financial impropriety.
The Eagle Online gathered from an impeccable source that the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission is after some of the lawmakers.
Though the issue of corruption involving lawmakers in Plateau State House of assembly is not new, the current dimension it has taken has drawn the attention of the ICPC.
Some have said it may spell doom for the House and the Governor Jonah Jang-led administration in the state.
The Eagle Online can report that recently a non governmental organization, the Plateau Patriotic Front, petitioned the House over an alleged high magnitude corruption the House of Assembly and Jang were reportedly involved.
It described the state legislature as a toothless bull dog that cannot bark at the excesses of Governor Jang.
The Plateau Patriotic Front alleged that the lawmakers have compromised their integrity by collecting huge sums of money from Jang to stop the investigation process.
It has been gathered that, the son of the Governor, Yakubu Jang, has since filed a suit restraining the House from investigating his father.
But the latest move against the House is viewed by many as the last straw that will break the back of the cohesion of the Plateau State House of Assembly so that they would not find a footing to rest on to challenge some alleged corruption leveled against Jang and his cronies in his administration.
Efforts to get their reactions failed as they declined response on the matter.
