The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation says no fewer than 300 players are expected to participate at its national championship scheduled for Lagos from November 15 to 19.
Joyce Ezealah-Ogundare, the Secretary-General of the NTTF, told newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja that the competition would feature players in the senior, junior, cadet and disabled categories.
Ezealah-Ogubdare said invitations have been sent to various states and clubs.
Ogundare said: “All states and clubs would be responsible for their feeding, accommodation and transportation of their players and officials.
“Clubs and states have also been given a deadline to submit their entries which was on October 3.
“The essence of the competition was to ensure that the players remain in good from and shape.
“The competition is also targeted at discovering new talents in the sport.”
