The Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, at a public gathering not specified, ignored the greeting of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II.
The Ooni, who is regarded as the most senior monarch in Yorubaland, had entered into the venue of the event moving straight to exchange pleasantries with the traditional rulers present.
Closest to the point from where he entered was the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe.
Oba Adeyeye exchanged pleasantries with Igwe Achebe briefly and move on to Oba Akiolu.
But rather than acknowledge the greeting, Oba Akiolu turned his face away and raised his right hand in a manner waving off Oba Ogunwusi.
