The Director General of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. J.B Olawumi has commended Plateau State Governor Jonah Jang for building an ultra modern orientation camp for the corps members posted to the state.
In a letter conveyed to the governor and signed by the state coordinator of the NYSC, Mr. Y.S Ehoda-Adi, the DG boss said it was a significant stride.
The Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor, Mr. James Mannok said Jang, who is actively, the Chairman, Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) merited the accolades following the facilities at the permanent orientation camp in Mangu Local Government Area.
He quoted the DG, as saying, “the secretariat is one of the best in the country and added that, the NYSC is appreciative to the governor and the Plateau State and government for constructing such structures and continuous supports and assistance to the scheme in the state”.
The DG noted that a befitting orientation camp is one of the most critical components of the operations of the schemes and said NYSC members posted to the state since the commencement of activities at the permanent site have enjoyed the facilities.
Brig. Gen. Olawum also applauded the governor that in spite of the obvious challenges, the Governor has consistently demonstrated abiding commitment to the statutory requirement of the state government to the NYSC in the state.
