The state Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Plateau State Command, Raymond Jajah, has appealed to Nigerians to embrace one another to end communal clashes in the country.
Jajah stated this on Wednesday evening at the launch of a book titled: “We need one another.”
It was written by Emmanuel James Wuyep, a former Senior Correspondent of Leadership newspaper.
The event was held at the Police Officers Mess near Governor’s Lodge and Office in Jishe, along Tudun Wada, Ring Road, Jos.
Speaking through DSP Ubale Sakure, Jajah tasked nomads and farmers to see each other as one family and should constantly preach and love.
The comptroller said: “As we live together, we work together and intermarry with each other, we can also celebrate our successes and learn our lessons from one another’s failures and challenges.
The book reviewer, Prof. Marry Ango, the Director of Center for Nomadic Education of the University of Jos, said the book had 10 chapters portraying the long standing cordial relationship where the Fulani Ardo visits Chief Dashe and host community where they lived peacefully.
“Ardo Gidado’s sincerity in reporting on his own by himself his brothers cattle trespassing Chief Dashe subject farms explains the typical village life,” Ango said.
The Author, Wuyep, used the book in promoting love between Chief Dashe and Ardo Gidado towards tackling communal clashes in Nigeria.
