Plateau State Governor and Chairman Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Jonah David Jang wants Nigerians to role out drums for the celebration of the Nation’s 54th Independent Anniversary.
The governor in a statement issued by his director of press and publications, James Mannok called on all Nigerians to rise up to commemorate the occasion of the country’s Independence Day celebration.
According to the governor, “it is a thing of celebration in spite of the economic, political and security challenges independent day should be a celebration of Nigerians resilience in its journey to nationhood, Nigerians have stood strong in forging ahead as one indivisible entity”.
Governor Jang urged Nigerians to love, tolerate, forgive and respect our diverse cultural values in a bid to strengthen this bound of fraternity.
The Governor also enjoined Nigerians to pray fervently for the peace, unity and stability of the country and its leaders.
He assured that the peace building process in the state is on course, said that his administration remains fully committed to fulfilling its covenant of service delivery to the people in the state to enhance development.
