Barely 72 hours after the State darling team Niger Tornadoes Football
club comfortably gained promotion into the elite league, the Niger
state government is set to announce a new management committee on
Friday.
The Eagle Online exclusively gathered from the Government House that
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has approved the names of the new
management committee which has been forwarded to the State Sports
Ministry for announcement today.
The former chairman of the club between 2008 to 2009 Alhaji Adamu
Aliyu is likely to make the list as the chairman of the newly promoted
side to the Nigeria premier league while a one-time sports editor of
the state owned Newsline newspaper mallam Musa Suleiman is being
touted as the club Media officer.
Our check revealed that only one member of the outing management is
likely to also make it to the new management because of his long
standing relationship with the current Chief of Staff to the governor.
A one-time Defensive player with the Rangers international of Enugu
Malllam Usman Likita is also likely to come on board because of his
experience in the games.
All efforts to get the PRO of the sports Ministry Mr. Fred Isaiah
proved abortive as several calls put across his lines were not going
through.
