The Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo, on Thursday in Abuja said the current crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation was an internal affair of football stakeholders in the country.
Danagogo, who is also the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, however, said the commission was still studying the situation.
He said: “At the appropriate time, we will say something about it in order for our football to move forward.”
The minister said he had already initiated peace moves to ensure the crisis was resolved.
Danagogo said: “Already, I have started calling the parties involved in the dispute so as to know their grievances and find a way out of the crisis because it is not healthy for the development of our football.”
Danagogo however called on all parties involved in the crisis to put the interest of the country and the game before their personal interests.
“They have to do this in view of the efforts being made to ensure that peace returns to the football house,” he said.
