The Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Ima Niboro, has lost his mother, Deaconess Agnes Owoma Ukeseh, Nee Ekemike.
Ukeseh passed on at midday on Wednesday.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Director in the Office of the Managing Director of NAN, Obiora Chukwumba, on Wednesday in Abuja.
The statement said: “It is with sad but grateful hearts, and in total submission to the will of the Almighty God that we announce the peaceful transition to glory of Deaconess Agnes Owoma Ukeseh, Nee Ekemike.
“Deaconess Ukeseh turned 79 on August 6, 2014. She was devout Christian, a retired Nursing Matron with a lifetime commitment to the service of God, the Church and the community.
“Deaconess Ukeseh was accomplished in her Christian ministry and the nursing profession.
“She is survived by her children, Mrs Sarah Ajiboye, a business woman, and Bishop Columba Niboro, General Overseer of the Sunrise Community Church, Toledo, Ohio, USA.
“Others are Olorogun Ima Niboro, the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria and Mrs Grae Owhraigbo of the Federal Inland Revenue Service as well as many grandchildren.”
The programme of celebration of her life and memory as well as internment will be announced by the family, the statement said.
