The League Management Company has granted the request by Rivers United FC to postpone its Match Day 29 Nigeria Professional Football League encounter with Ikorodu United FC.
A statement by Sammy Wejinya, the Media Officer of Rivers United FC, released in Port Harcourt on Saturday, said this followed an auto crash involving the club’s official vehicle on July 28 in Ndele, Rivers State.
It said the incident left several players and officials of the team injured.
According to the statement, the LMC granted the postponement of the match on the request of Rivers United FC, based on medical advice.
It said a new date for the fixture was yet to be announced.
Rivers United occupies third place in the NPFL standings with 44 points from 26 matches, while Ikorodu United ranks 19th position with 16 points from 25 matches.
