Lagos, Ogun and Rivers States were among the police formations that are to be headed by new Commissioners of Police.
This followed the redeployment and deployment of new helmsmen to the states by the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase.
A statement on Thursday by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Abayomi Shogunle, said the exercise was in line with the determination of Arase to inject fresh ideas into the security architecture in Lagos, Rivers and Ogun States and some other Force Headquarters Formations.
Deployed to Lagos as Commissioner of Police is Ajani Fatai Owoseni.
Owoseni replaces Kayode Aderanti, who has been moved to the Department of Operations as the CP Administration in the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Chris Ezike is now to head the Rivers State Police Command, while Abdulmajid Ali moves to Ogun State.
Dan Bature is the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department at the Force Headquarters.
Valentine Ntomchukwu, who until Thursday was the Commissioner of Police in charge of Ogun State, moves to the Administration Department of the Logistics and Supply Unit of the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Hyelasinda Kimo Musa is the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Anti-Robbery Squad of the FCIID, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
E. J. Ibine is to oversee the Eastern Command of the Port Authority, while Ogbusua Aja Oleh is the CP Provost of the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
Shogunle added in the statement announcing the new postings: “It is expected that the new postings will reverse the crime wave in the affected states, while also strengthening administration in the affected strategic Force Headquarters Formations.”
