Vincent Enyeama’s void in the national team was yesterday filled by El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri’s goalkeeper, David Obiazor ahead of this Saturday’s Nations Cup qualifier against the Red Devils of Congo.
The choice of Obiazor was due to Enyeama’s leave of absence for the Congo and Bafana Bafana of South Africa games.
The national team Head Coach, Stephen Keshi announced that he has decided to replace Enyeama, who is absent for personal reasons with El-kanemi of Maiduguri first choice keeper, Obiazor.
“We have been monitoring the Nigerian league and we see that the keeper of El-kanemi is a talent, that is why we want to give him a trial. We will see how it turns out when he arrives camp,” Keshi said after lunch on Tuesday.
