The daughter of late Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, Jennifer, on Thursday bemoaned the failed promises made to her father by the Federal and the Delta State Governments.
Jennifer emphatically told Governor Ifeanyi Okowa that the oil rich state was unfair to his father while he was alive by not keeping to the promises made to him.
She recalled that the Federal Government shortchanged him at the peak of his career, wondering why his state also reneged on its promise of building a befitting house for him at a choice area in Asaba, the state capital, for coaching the national team creditably well and winning laurels for the country as a footballer.
She lamented that many of his late father’s associates who promised him heaven and earth have since refused to fulfill their vows.
The Delta State government promised to build a duplex for Keshi during former Governor Emmanuel Udughan’s administration, but failed to do so.
The state re-named the age-long uncompleted Township Stadium after him, but has since abandoned work on the project.
