The Kebbi State Government says it is set to release N150 million to the management of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company to restore power supply to the State.
Sani Kangiwa, the state Commissioner for Water Resources, announced this in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday at a stakeholders meeting on power supply.

Kangiwa said the state government would partner with the company to ensure that power was restored for at least 22 hours supply.
Kangiwa added that this would also improve water supply in the rural communities.
He noted that the current administration had restored power supply to about 18 hours per day, adding that the supply was affected by the current shortfall in gas.
According to him, government is committed to provision of social services to the people.
He explained that the state government was determined to raise the standards of living of the citizens of the state.
He called on the general public to continue to support good policies and programmes of the state government, adding that stability of power would generate employment.
