Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State on Wednesday said the state government would repair the structures damaged in the recent robbery attack in Daura.
The governor, during a visit to the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruk Umar, directed the state Ministry of Works to liaise with Daura Local Government Area for the repairs.
The governor, who described the attack as unfortunate, said government would take measures to prevent the reoccurrence of the incident.
He said more security personnel would be deployed to the state, especially at the border areas.
Shema, who sympathised with the emir and the people of the area over the incident, called on the people to support security agencies to ensure security.
Responding, the Emir called on the people to pray for the state and the nation towards addressing the security challenges and thanked the governor for the visit.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Shema has also inspected the two police stations and four banks attacked during the incident.
