Anthony Joshua is confident of victory over Wladimir Klitschko in their mega-fight on Saturday and has declared it as “another stepping stone towards greatness”.
The two heavyweights will meet at Wembley on Saturday in a mouthwatering spectacle in front of 90,000.
And speaking at their pre-bout press conference on Thursday, Joshua was in bullish mood – predicting he would defeat the veteran to retain his IBF belt and become WBA champion.
“I don’t underestimate any opponent from when I first started boxing and through mistakes that I’ve learned,” Joshua said.
“I just focus on me and a man coming to blows, and the best man will win.
“April 29 is just another stepping stone towards greatness.
“Any fight is the right fight. To you guys, you want certain types of fights… I never shied away from any fight, any opponent.
“I could have said I’m not ready, but no problem – I just embrace every opportunity.
‘Failure is not trying; there is no fear and I don’t underestimate any opponent.”
Speaking at the press conference, Klitschko revealed his robe will go on auction after the bout to raise money for charity.
However, the winning bid will be given an exclusive – as the robe will contain Klitschko’s pre-match prediction for the fight on an USB stick.
“I see myself in AJ. I do believe I know how he thinks, where he goes, what he’s going to do. And how the actual fight is going to be,” he said.
“So, I’m not Nostradamus but I feel so strong in my obsession that it made me – in the shape of digitalisation – on this USB stick, I recorded a video last week on the outcome of the fight. My prediction, so to say.
“This stick is going to be integrated in my robe which I’m going to wear on Saturday night. Sealed. Do not ask me after the fight what is on this stick.
“The only person who is going to be able to open it up and watch it, is the person who is going to buy this robe with the stick. All the money is going to go to the Klitscko foundation for the kids to support education and sport.
“This is a very exclusive piece and if any of you here or anybody who is watching this now live on television is very excited about it… get even more excited.”
