Arsenal midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has revealed that he is working on his decision making with the ball at his feet.
The 20-year-old Nigerian international has been an impressive performer since coming into the Gunners’ first-team last season, with his ability to drive forward with the ball and create space for himself in tight spaces a big highlight.
Iwobi has clearly attempted to ensure that he does not follow that same path and admitted that as well as the basic scoring and assisting, he is trying to make sure that he is as effective with the ball at his feet as possible.
“My goal was just to try to get as many balls and assists as I can, so I’ve just been working on that at training, as well as trying to get fit for the season.
“My decision-making has been improving a bit, my decision-making on the ball.”
Iwobi faces stiff competition from the likes of the Ox, Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil for a place in the starting XI, as well as academy teammates Chris Willock and Jeff Reine-Adelaide – the latter of whom has officially been promoted to the first-team.
