Kano Pillars coach, Kadiri Ikhana, has called it quits with the club.
The veteran coach said he was resigning to take care of his failing health.
He said he offered to step down to enable the management secure the services of another coach as the club was too big to allow a vacuum.
Ikhana said he had health challenges which needed to be attended to urgently.
It would be recalled that he was attacked during their week 18 game against Akwa United in Kano, which they lost by 0-1.
Ikhana had stayed away from the team following the loss, even as the club is expected to name his replacement soon.
