Kelechi Iheanacho says he can step up to the plate and replace the suspended Sergio Aguero in the Manchester derby on Saturday.
City go to Old Trafford to take on their local rivals in Saturday’s big lunchtime derby clash but Pep Guardiola will be without key striker Aguero, who has been suspended by the FA for three games for his elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid.
The City coach will have to replace the Argentinian in his starting line-up and Nigerian hitman Iheanacho says he will be up to the task if he is selected.
He told The Sun: “Sergio’s suspension is a big loss but we have a lot of big players to turn to.
“If I get picked I’m going to do my job.
“Games like this mean a lot and it doesn’t come bigger than a derby.”
