Nigerian international and Watford FC striker, Odion Ighalo, has hinged their ouster from the Capital One Cup on lack of concentration.
The Hornets lost 1-2 at home to League 1side, Doncaster Rovers.
The loan-man played his first 90 minutes at The Vic in the defeat, and afterwards urged his new teammates not to let the performance affect their league form.
“We conceded some cheap goals early in the halves,” noted the Hornets loanee.
“We lost concentration and that’s what happens in football. It was hard, because they sat back and defended well.
“We worked hard and tried our best. It was a difficult game for us, because playing against a lower team, they have nothing to lose and we have so much to lose.
“The game has finished. No matter how angry we are, no matter what we say the game isn’t going to come back. We have to forget about it, and think seriously to keep our position in the League on Saturday.”
