Nigerian international, Brown Ideye, has vowed to justifying his price tag by banging goal for West Bromwich Albion in the English Premier League.
The striker bought for 10 million pounds has under his belt four unconvincing starts, one goal and three weeks on the sidelines.
Ideye however tweeted just twice this week, both on Monday, when he responded to West Brom’s excellent 2-2 draw with Manchester United by proclaiming: “So proud to be a Baggie.”
“I was a little bit sad about it because I believed getting my first goal was a great thing for me. I just had to start from there but I got injured,” Ideye said.
“I just have to move forward right now, give my best in every game and pray that the team continues to do well because if things go well for the team, they will go well for me.
“I am 100 per cent fit and ready to play. Hopefully I will play as soon as possible because I can’t wait to start playing again.”
Ideye was an unused substitute against United.
He will hope to see at least some game-time against Crystal Palace or Bournemouth in the next few days.
Not that Saido Berahino can be omitted at present.
“It’s brilliant, he has been in great form, I am happy for him. He just has to keep on scoring goals. I’ll support the people who are playing.”
“It doesn’t bother me at all, I just have to take each game as it comes. Right now I am looking forward to the next game.”
