Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Mukhtar Magori as the new Chief of Staff of the Government House.
Tambuwal’s spokesman, Imam Imam, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
The governor’s aide said until this appointment, Magori was into private business.
Meanwhile, Tambuwal has also approved the restructuring of Sokoto State Media Corporation, with Malam Abubakar Shekara retaining his position as the Managing Director.
A former General Manager of the State Television, Alhaji Labaran Dundaye, has been upgraded to the position of Deputy Managing Director.
In the same vein, Usman Sani is now the Director, Rima Radio, while Alhaji Lawal Sadiq is the Director, Rima Television.
Imam further said that Aliyu Dogon-Daji had also been appointed as the Director, state FM Radio, and Abubakar Junaidu, Director of Administration respectively.
A former General Manager of the State Radio (Rima Radio), Hajiya Halima Sarkin-Tudu, has been appointed a Director-General in the state civil service.
Imam said: “All other directors in the media corporation retain their current positions and various schedules.
“The Governor tasked the new team to introduce innovative strategies that will reposition the state media outfits for optimum results.
“He also urged the new team to key into government’s overall objective of providing quality service that will lead to the uplift of the standard of living of the people of Sokoto state.”
