Globacom has widened the scope of veteran artistes it is working with on its various campaigns.
Apart from the likes of juju music icon, King Sunny Ade, and afro singer, Lagbaja, who have been on the company’s evergreen and ambassadorial campaign, it has also courted seasoned actor and Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Delta State, Richard Mofe-Damijo; veteran comedian, Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as Aluwe.
Both were recently signed to feature in a new campaign by Globacom.
The new campaign, themed: Go Ahead, depicts the essence of the network and also communicates the dynamism of its services in voice, data and fixed lines.
Others, according to a statement, include legendary Chika Okpala, popularly known as Zebrudaya alias 4:30; and his television-wife, Lizzy Eveome, well known as Ovuleria of New Masquerade series.
Others are Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr. Latin; Madam Ibidun Allison, known as Amebo, an actress in the rested television series, Village Headmaster; and Madam Kofo Abiola, who, as an actress, is popular for her towering headgears.
“Also in the campaign are Saheed Mohammed (Funky Mallam), Morocco Maduka, Charles Awurum and Victor Osuagwu.
The list also includes fuji singers Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Saheed Osupa.
Others are Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu; former Super Eagles striker, Daniel Amokachi; and King of Galala Beats, Daddy Showkey.
Already, John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), Bishop Ime, (Okon Lagos), Chinwetalu Agu, a veteran Nollywood actor, and comedienne and television presenter, Helen Paul, have been designated as brand ambassadors.
“As brand representatives, the 34 celebrities are vested with the responsibility of positively motivating their followers from all strata of life not only to join the Globacom network but also to recommend its products and services to others in their circles of influence,” Glo said in a statement.
