The Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, has revealed that the Federal Government has agreed to release the N1.1 billion Budget Support Facility meant for the state.
Fayose had on Wednesday stormed the Federal Ministry of Finance in respect of the facility, which he claimed only Ekiti State had not received.
In return, the Minister of Finance, said the money was yet to be released because Ekiti State had not fulfilled all the conditions for accessing the fund.
But speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Friday, Fayose said the State had received an official communication from the Federal Ministry of Finance releasing the state allocation.
According to him: “I don’t want to join issues with anybody on the allocation.
“It is a statutory allocation for all the States.
“I can confirm to you here that by Tuesday next week, I will get the bank alert for the money.
“An official communication on the release was passed to me just yesterday (Thursday).”
