The Federal Government has approved the re-appointment of Dr. Muhammad Ahmad as the Director-General of the National Boundary Commission.
This was contained in a statement issued by Kabir Isah, the Public Relations Officer of the commission, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday.
The statement said the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, conveyed the re-appointment in a letter referenced SGF.50/S.11/III, dated April 14, 2015.
It said the reappointment, which was for a second tenure of four years, was made in accordance with the provision of section 16 (1) and (3) of the commission’s establishment Act 2006.
It said Ahmad had been the D-G of the commission since March 4, 2011.
