The Federal Capital Territory Administration on Friday notified residents of disruption in water supply to certain parts of the territory due to routine maintenance works.
This was contained in a statement signed by Hazat Sule, the Chief Press Secretary to the FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello
According to the statement, the disruption will affect water supply to Apo, Gwarinpa I (Life-Camp), Gwarinpa II, Kado Districts and Bwari.
It stated that the routine maintenance work would be carried out on Plant 2 of the FCT Water Board supply
It said: “Accordingly, the pressure of water supply to these areas will be affected on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
“The Administration assures that normal water supply will be restored on Sunday, 20th March 2016.
“The Minister regrets the inconveniences this water supply disruption may cause some of the residents of the territory.”
It assured that the FCTA would work round the clock to restore normal supply on or before the stated date.
“The Minister, therefore, solicits for the support and understanding of the residents of FCT,” the statement said.
NAN recalls that there was similar disruption of water supply from January 25 to 28.
