Two explosions were reported in Maduguri, the Borno State capital, in the early hours of Sunday.
Reports have it that no fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead in the explosions, with many injured.
The explosives went off in the main market area in the town.
The Borno State Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Isuku, has confirmed the incident, which occurred shortly before 9am and is believed to be by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
