Former Super Eagles’ skipper, Vincent Enyeama, was a shadow of himself on Sunday night as Lille suffered a 3-1 loss to St Etienne in Ligue 1.
Enyeama, who was kept in goal for the entire 90 minutes, has let in 14 goals in seven games.
Lille has managed one win, one draw and five loses, leaving them rock bottom on the French League table.
Meanwhile, St Etienne stretched their unbeaten run to nine matches in all competitions with the comfortable win over Lille.
Robert Beric, Arnaud Nordin and Nolan Roux fired the goals as the hosts overwhelmed Lille, who slipped to a fourth consecutive defeat.
Renato Civelli hit back for Lille but the visitors hardly looked likely to mount any serious battle for even a share of the spoils.
Beric’s third league goal of the campaign set the home side on their way, with 18-year-old midfielder Nordin claiming the second.
Striker Roux then bagged his first goal of the season in stoppage time, as St Etienne wrapped up their win.
