The Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Sunday Onyebuchi, has been removed from office.
A probe panel, which was christened a “chicken panel”, had probed Onyebuchi over sundry allegations.
Chief among this was that he allegedly ran a chicken poultry in the Government House.
He was also accused of insubordination by some of those who testified against him before the panel.
Though the allegation could not be sustained under cross-examination, he was accused of not taking orders from the state Governor, Sullivan Chime, especially when it comes to representing him at official functions.
Reports monitored on the radio said Onyebuchi was declared removed on Tuesday morning by the state House of Assembly.
However, not a few people believe that the removal of Sunday had to do with permutations ahead of the 2015 elections in the state.
