Eminent businessman and former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Kalu, has tasked Nigerians on peaceful co-existence regardless of ethnic, religious and political differences, noting that development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity.
According to Kalu, the future of Nigeria is bright under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, adding that all hands must be on deck to take the country to enviable heights.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Kunle Oyewumi, Kalu said: “In the spirit of Eid-el-Maulud, I wish to congratulate the Nigerian Muslim community on this significant occasion.
“The exceptional qualities of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) should be embraced by all and sundry for the sake of national progress.
“This period should be committed to prayers for leaders at all levels of government.”
The former governor urged the political class to make the welfare of the people a top priority in their agenda, adding that the current economic challenges facing the country would be overcome.
Kalu, while wishing the Muslim Ummah a hitch-free celebration, urged them to imbibe the teachings of the holy Quran in their daily pursuits.
