Students in Delta State will be going to schools with bottles of treated water daily as teachers in state pledged to resume on September 22.
This was disclosed in Asaba on Thursday by the state Chairman of National Union of Teachers, Jonathan Jemirieyigbe.
Jemirieyigbe said that since the state government could provide boreholes in all the schools, each child would be directed to bring treated water.
Jemirieyigbe said that NUT had resolved that the first week would be used by teachers who were trained by the state government to train their colleagues in on prevention and management of Ebola.
He said that the second week would be used to prepare the schools’ environment and to put in place materials to enhance hygiene.
