Abdulakeem and his gang used to attack areas like Abuja, Port-Harcourt, Benin City, amongst others.
Aderanti said: “There is also the arrest of a seven-man gang of robbers led by one Manven Bali that snatched a Honda CRV Jeep on January 17, 2015.
“The CRV Jeep belongs to Channels Television.
“We also recovered three others cars, arms and ammunition from them.
“Another trans-border criminal who specialized in car snatching was also arrested on January 18, 2015.
“The gang was led by one Samuel Igbi.
“Two AK rifles, 11 loaded AK 47 magazines and one Sienna space bus vehicle was recovered from them.”
Aderanti said in the area of crime fighting, he had promised on assumption of office that he would ensure that Lagos State was made uncomfortable for criminals.
“I kept to my promise! I and my men did our best at ensuring this was achieved. Major crimes that occurred under my tenure were resolved through diligent investigation and deployment of cutting edge technology,” bragged Aderanti.
Aderanti continued his narration: “I thank the Lagos State Government and other stakeholders, who donated logistics and communications gadgets and other operational vehicles, with which the command floated the tactical operations units which ensured that the metropolis was kept safe. There were speculations that Lagos State would be a violent Zone during the 2105 general elections, but it wasn’t so. The success to achieving a violent free election was due to diligent and preventive measures deployed by me and my men.”
