An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ekiti State on Monday remanded a 65-year-old man, Oluwande Ajayi, in prison custody for allegedly injecting a woman to death.
The prosecutor, Emmanuel David, told the court that the accused committed the offence on January 23 at Ise-Ekiti.
David said that the accused unlawfully injected Toyin Arogunmatide to death with a dose yet to be determined.
He said that the offence contravened Section 319(1) of the Criminal Code of Ekiti State 2012.
The plea of the accused was not taken.
The Chief Magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, remanded the accused in prison custody and adjourned the case to April 18 for further mention.
