The states Houses of Assembly have voted overwhelmingly for the separation of the office of the Attorney General of the Federation and that of the Minister of Justice.
The states Assemblies have also acceded to the independence of the legislature.
These are some of the highlights of the amendments approved by the Houses of Assembly and submitted to the National Assembly on Friday.
The Speakers of the states Houses of Assembly submitted the approved amendment to the Chairman of the Constitution Amendment Committee and Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
