The Senate Minority Leader and former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has congratulated Nigerians, especially those of the Christian faith, on witnessing another Christmas.
Akpabio called on them to exhibit the spirit of love, peace and brotherliness during the festive period and beyond.
Akpabio made this position through a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Deacon Jackson Udom.
He commended Christians across the globe for living up to the standard set by Jesus Christ in terms of peaceful co-existence and brotherly love, urging them to imbibe the lessons of the Christmas season by continuing to be their brothers keeper and as well seek the good of Nigeria and its teeming people.
According to Akpabio: “Christmas period is a special moment for humanity to celebrate Christ, love and harmony.”
He called on Nigerians to continue living in harmony and seeking the progress of the country anywhere they find themselves.
“I felicitate with my Christian brothers and sisters as well as all Nigerians on this auspicious season; may the peace of God continue to be with us all and may His grace cause our country, its leaders and its people to triumph over all challenges including insecurity and economic hardship,” the Senate Minoriiy Leader prayed.
